ATTACKING 2015
happy new year and all that…..
So im just back from a long old cross country run on new years morning
in fact im still in my muddy gear, but i couldnt wait…was buzzing from the run, from the time alone and the thoughts buzzing in my head that i had to get down onto paper
this isnt me gloating, this isnt a sermon, this is not me telling you what you should be doing, or trying to sign you up
but if you are sat in your pj’s nursing a sore head you may want to bookmark this email for tomorrow, or when you decide your new year new you starts
whilst out, in the grey, damp, bleak countryside it was the most invigorating run ive had in a long while
i was out last night for a meal, some champagne, a great night….but a chilled one..i’d decided i wanted to be on it for the first few days of the year…in a positive place, jumping into action to work on the business, get my shit together
so the run today was easy to motivate for
and i loved it…but the best thing about it was the planning, the brainstorming, idea forming that i did along the way
the overall theme of which was this
im going to attack 2015
im not going to make decisions im going to FORCE decisions
im not making changes im DRIVING changes
im not going to keep up the good work im going to RAMP it up into overdrive
im not going to cop out of things i would like to get done but didnt get round to
I know everyone at this time of year is saying the same things, and i have been there before…in fact a lot of them i achieved
but this year im going bigger and bolder, business and personal
and i want you to as well
i want to you to make a HUGE change this year
actually i want you to FORCE a HUGE change this year
if you thought about things last year but didnt achieve them i want you to refocus
if theres a niggling regret in the back of your head i want you to address it
write it down, reply with it on here, phone your friend and tell them your plan, post it on facebook, twitter or instagram
then work backwards, work out what needs to be done to get there…..the smaller stuff, the weekly stuff, the daily stuff, the meal by meal plan or the workout plan
and why you want to make the change, who it will affect and how…what does it REALLY mean to you
and also whats stopped you from doing this before, why are you still not where you want to be!
im going to write more articles, more newsletters (if this’ll annoy you the unsubscribe button is below) be more productive, by planning better, so that i can grow the business, bring in new personal trainers, new ventures like the group training i never got my arse together to sort out, a fitness/fatloss/outdoor sport retreat weekend in cornwall
all this to allow myself to do more of the stuff i love, spending time with friends and family, surfing, snowboarding and wakeboarding more, holidays
im putting this training into something productive, maybe a competition of some kind
going to try things that challenge me, boxing, longer harder races, new sports
i want you to be excited about 2015
i want you to think big
i want you to succeed as much as i want to succeed
so im starting with a new private facebook group
its called the ‘weekly improvement’
1 change a week for a year
52 changes
that will make a HUGE difference once they are all added up
small changes, publicly stated in the group
in a supportive environment, swapping ideas for changes, offering advice, making sure everyone stays on track, offering accountability
drink more water, dont eat biscuits, 1 piece of fruit a day, exercise weekly………
