February is bad for your health
January is over
You’ve done well, no actually you’ve done amazingly
Dryathon is over, no booze, feeling great
Weight dropped, fitness through the roof
Feeling fantastic
BUT
Was it all a FALSE security
Now it’s February
People are going back out
Suddenly after abstaining for a month you have the busiest drinking month ever, invites you have put off suddenly building up and coming at once
Everyone at work was on a health kick
There were no cakes in the office, not so many work or client drinks
IF ANY
Newspapers were full of diet articles, smoothie recipes & workout ideas
Gyms were running special offers
Friends were running
Colleges were cycling to work
It was EASIER
Now the work begins
The work you put in place and the results you got in January should have formed a habit, built the cornerstone or the foundations for continuing the journey
Building the strength of character to carry on the good work
You need a strategy to continue
Do you need to go out drinking EVERY weekend in February, seeing all the people you missed for 1 whole month?
Having done the work are you really now giving yourself permission to eat the doughnuts that sue from accounts brought in for her birthday but refuses to eat herself
Do you want to start missing those workouts to head to the shops so you can buy new slimmer fitter clothes?
Isn’t that just a slippery slope back to old habits?
February is where the real work starts
Otherwise by march you will have ruined your results and be back where you started
STAY STRONG AND REMEMBER
healthy living is for LIFE
NOT JUST FOR JANUARY
Stay strong
